Summary[edit]

Description

Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth was an artist, cartoonist, illustrator, pinstriper and custom car designer and builder who created the hot-rod icon Rat Fink and other characters. Roth was a key figure in Southern California's Kustom Kulture and hot-rod movement of the late 1950s and 1960s. Tweedy Pie was originally built by Bob Johnston in 1955. This 1920 Ford T-bucket was widened 3 inches and channeled over bobbed Deuce rails. Ed Roth striped the car for Bob.

Before selling Tweedy Pie to Ed in 1962, Bob swapped the flathead for a '57 Corvette engine, that sported six Stromberg 97's. Ed added his own personal touches, dual headlights and a set of chromed reversed wheels with Baby Moons. On display at Galpin Auto Sports
