English: Caption text says "The heavy lines on this map indicate hard-surface pavement. Black and white lines indicate gravel, stone, shell and clay roads in good condition. Figures in circles correspond to State Highway numbers and those in shields are Federal Route numbers. Plain numerals show the mileage between the circled points."
