The 1937-40 Fords got a more rounded body and a V shaped grille and a V shaped windscreen. The Standard 1940 Ford had a grille similar to the 39 Deluxe, a vee'd grille, pointed hood, and headlights mounted into the fenders, but painted headlight surrounds and more slats either side of a chrome centre. The 1940 Deluxe had a similar grille but with slated gills flanking the horizontal-bar grille The 1940 Ford was available in 3 models; The Model 02A Standard with 136 cu in V8; 5 window coupe, Tudor, Sedan and Wagon. The Model 01A Standard with 221 cu in V8; 5 window coupe, Tudor, Sedan or Wagon And the Model 01A Deluxe with 221 cu in V8; 5 window coupe, Business Coupe, Tudor, Sedan, Woody Wagon and Convertible. The 1940 Ford was not only built in the US but also in other countries including Australia. In 1939 and 40 Ford Australia introduced its own variation on the 2 door Coupe, the design following rival brands from GM and Chrysler, they were all called the Sloper Coupes.
