| Description |
The RM series were the last cars developed by Riley, later Rileys were badge engineered versions of the Austin and Morris saloons. The 1st RM Saloon was the 1945 1500cc RMA. The 1952-55 RME replaced the RMA, it got the 1500cc, hydraulic brakes were introduced, the back window was larger, running boards were gone and it got newly shaped front mudguards, From 1946, the larger engine RMB was available, it was 6 inches longer and displacement was 2500cc. In 1952 the RMF replaced the RMB with the same changes as the RME Also available was the 1948-51 RMC convertible, it was an open 2 seater version of the RMB. The 1949-51 RMD, was a more of a drophead coupe convertible, with straight topped doors, the RMC had scolloped topped doors. Engine; 2500cc 4 cyl Engine; 1496cc 4 cyl twin cam |
