Summary[edit]

Description

The Conquest replaced the Consort and was built from 1953-58. Lanchester was a subsidiary of Daimler. The body on the Daimler Conquest was a slightly modified version of that used on the earlier Lanchester Fourteen. Apart from the grille, the Conquest was identical in appearance to the Lanchester Leda. Models were; the DJ250 Saloon, 1953-56 The DJ256 Century Saloon (chrome screen surround) The Mk IIs fog lamps were mounted to the bumper, 1954-58 Also a limited number of DJ252, 253 and 254 Drophead Coupes were made and DJ254 open Roadsters
