The Plymouth was introduced in 1928, Chryslers lowest priced car. Plymouths got a new 'Spaceship' look in 1957, flatter, wider and lower. They had a gently sloped windshield, a razor thin flat roof with tapered rear window, and rising fins created the wedge effect. In 1958 a minor facelift saw grille and side stripes updated. Base model was still the Plaza (2 door Business Coupe and 2 and 4 door Sedans) Mid spec, the Savoy, (2 and 4 door Sedans and 2 and 4 door Hardtops) Top was the Belvedere, available in 2 or 4 door Sedan, 2 or 4 door Hardtops and 2 door Convertible Suburban 2 and 4 door Wagons were available in Sport, Custom or Deluxe. From 1956-58 the Fury 2 door Hardtop was a sub series of the Belvedere, they had an upmarket interior and twin 4 barrel V8. In 1958 only, they were Bucksin Beige with a gold anodised side stripe. Top engine was; 350 cu in Golden Commando V8 (dual 4 bbl). Also 230 cu in 6, 241, 260, 273, 318 and 340 V8s were available
