Description

The Healey 3000 was the last of the 3 Big Healeys, the 1st was the 100 (a 4 cyl), then the 100-6 and now the last, the 3000, it was built from 1959-67, identified by the Austin Healey badge above the grille and 3000 badge in the grille. The Healey 3000 went through a few changes; 1959 3000 Mk I; Engine; 124hp 2912cc, twin SUs, 2 seater; BN7 and 4 seater BT7. 1961 3000 MkII; Engine; 132hp 2912cc, triple SUs, new grille with vertical slats and revised bonnet intake, Mk II badge above the grille, 2 seater; BN7 and 4 seater; BT7. 1962 3000 MkIIa; Engine; 131hp 2912cc Back to 2 carbys, revised windscreen, quarterlights, wind-up windows, only 2+2 BJ7 available. 1963 3000 MkIII; Engine; 148hp 2912cc twin SUs. full-width wooden dash, tunnel console and better trim, Mk III badge above grille, only 2+2 BJ8 available.

From March 1965 the Mk III received separate indicators
