| Description |
The P6 was a complete clean sheet design intended to appeal to a larger number of buyers. It had the unibody design, new suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes. The Series I was built from 1963-73. The first car available was the Rover 2000 with 104 hp 2 litre. In 1966 a twin carb version was introduced; the 2000TC, the single carb version was now called the 2000SC. In 1968 a V8 version was available, the Rover 3500 with automatic transmission and in 1971 a manual was introduced the 3500S. It was replaced by the facelifted Series II in 1973 Engine; 2000cc twin carb |
