Summary[edit]

Description

The Triumph 2000 and 2500 were a mid sized rear wheel drive 4 door Saloon built in England from 1963-1977. An Estate was available from 1965 and the similar 2 door sports car, the Stag, from 1970. The Triumph 2000 Mk I was built from 1963-69, using the engine from the Standard Vanguard but with twin Stromberg carburettors. In 1968, the larger fuel injected 2500cc was available. The Mk II was introduced in 1969, sharing the front end styling with the new Triumph Stag. This car was assembled in Australia by AMI (small badge on front guard).
