White. The Chevrolet Motor Company was formed in 1911. The Camaro was introduced as competition for Ford's pony car, the Mustang, the Mustang, introduced in 1964 had been a huge success. The second generation Camaro was built from 1970-81, it was longer, lower and wider with a fastback roof line and no quarter windows, but the mechanicals were much the same, no convertible was available. 1974 saw a facelift, now a shovel nose front and the rear taillights wrapped into the fenders. Available in base, RS (Rally Sport), LT (Luxury Touring) and the high performance Z28 1975; new wrap around rear window, no Z28 this year. 1976; new wire look wheels and aluminum panel between taillights 1977; Z28 back, with black grille and front and rear spoilers 1978; the new urethane bumpers were integrated into the car, new rear tail lights and a 'T-top' was now available. 1979; LT replaced by Berlinetta, Z28 got a front spoiler. 1980; new tight mesh grille and new V6, two tone paint on RS new 1981; much the same, no RS this year 1979 engines; 115hp 250 6 cyl, 135hp 305 V8, 175hp 350 V8 |
