Deutsch: 05.07.1985 DDR 5301 [99438] Tonndorf: Schloß Tonndorf (GMP: 50.894311,11.210597). Erstmals urkundlich erwähnt wird die Burg 1201 in einem Urkundenbuch des Klosters Paulinzella. Historiker nehmen an, dass die zur Zeit der Renaissance zum Schloß ausgebaute Burg schon zur Zeit Heinrich I. während des Waffenstillstandes mit Ungarn (924-933) zum Schutz der alten Handelsstraße, die von Erfurt nach Böhmen führte, angelegt wurde. Die Kriegswirren des II. WK sehen das Schloß als Lazarett, unter Besetzung durch amerikanische, dann sowjetische Truppen und schließlich als Unterbringung für ca. 100 Umsiedler. 1947 übernimmt die Sozialversicherungsanstalt Thüringen das Schloß und richtet hier eine Silikose- und Tuberkuloseheilanstalt ein.
