Title
199 BERK-CF1E15: Jetton
Description
English: A Medieval copper alloy Tournai jetton, probably late 15th Century AD. The jetton probably has an abbreviated legend of the phrase 'Sit Nomen Domini (benedictum)', now worn and mostly illegible. Mitchiner (1988) illustrates similar on p242 (nos 747-748). These jettons are dated to c. AD 1497-1521.
