Deutsch: 23.01.2002 02899 Ostritz, Spanntigstraße 5: Katholische Kirche Mariä Himmelfahrt (GMP: 51.013380,14.933700). Die baulichen Ursprünge dieses Gotteshauses gehen in die erste Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts zurück. In der Reformationszeit gehörte Ostritz zum Erzbistum Prag und unterstand der nahe gelegenen Zisterzienserinnenabtei St. Marienthal. So blieb Ostritz als einer der wenigen Oberlausitzer Orte katholisch. Die Ostritzer Kirche war einst den Apostel Petrus und Paulus geweiht.
