Description
Deutsch: 21.09.2002 07407 Rudolstadt: Schloß Heidecksburg, links der Südflügel, rechts der Westflügel (GMP: 50.722890,11.337790). Schloß Heidecksburg ist das ehemalige Residenzschloß der Fürsten von Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt im thüringischen Rudolstadt. Heute sind im Schloß das Thüringer Landesmuseum Heidecksburg und das Thüringer Staatsarchiv Rudolstadt untergebracht. Barockbau auf den Grundmauern eines 1735 abgebrannten Renaissanceschlosses und an Stelle älterer Burganlagen (12. bis 14. Jh.) begonnen 1737 nach Entwürfen von J. Ch. Knöffel aus Dresden, ab 1743 fortgeführt von G. H. Krohne, nach dessen Tod 1756 weiterer Ausbau unter Leitung von P. C. Schellschläger, vollendet 18. Jh. unter Leitung von W. Thierry.
