| Description |
The WL Statesman was built from August 2004-August 2006. Based on the 4th of the 3rd generation Commodores, the VZ, the WL was only a minor facelift on the WK. The WK got more angular lines than the old curves on the WH. The interior also got a major overhaul. Compared with the Commodore, the Statesman had unique front and rear styling and used the longer wagon wheelbase. The WL Statesman got the new more powerful and more fuel efficent 3.6 DOHC Alloytec engine replacing the old 3.8 ECOTEC, also the V8 increased size to the L76 6.0 litre. Like before, Dual zone climate control and trip computer was standard across the range. Rear parking sensors and sat nav added The top of the line Caprice got blackout treatment to the grille and around the headlights, leather trim and dual screen DVD entertainment system for the rear passengers The HSV improved Grange got leather trim, 18 in alloys improved performance, better brakes and suspension. |
