Description
Deutsch: 08.04.2006 02633 Gaußig: Schloß und links die Schloßkapelle. Das Schloss geht auf Rudolph von Neitschütz zurück, der den barocken Bau um 1700 errichten ließ. 1747 ging der stark verschuldete Besitz an Heinrich Graf von Brühl (von 1746 bis 1751 kurfürstlich-sächsischer und königlich-polnischer Premierminister) über. Graf Brühl trug eine der reichsten Gemäldesammlungen der Lausitz zusammen. Zur Begleichung von Schulden wurde die Sammlung an die Zarin von Rußland, Katharina die II., verkauft und bildete den Grundstock für die Ermitage in Leningrad. 1750 folgte Hermann Carl Graf von Keyserling. Sein Name verbindet sich mit den berühmten Goldberg-Variationen. 1766 kaufte Peter Graf von Riaucour das Rittergut Gaußig. Ende des 18. Jh. wurde d. Schloß im klassizistischen Stil von Ch. F. Schuricht umgestaltet. In der DDR Erholungsheim der TU Dresden. Nach der Wende

wurde das Inventar an Wilderich von Schall-Riaucour zurückgegeben. Dieser hat d. Großteil des Inventars 1998 versteigern lassen. Das Schloss gelangte an eine irische Gesellschaft, die einen Business-Club einrichten wollte,

was nie erfolgte. Statt dessen verfielen Schloss und Park zusehends. Der Freistaat Sachsen übertrug nun Schloss und Park 2004 an Andreas Graf von Brühl-Pohl. Andreas Graf von Brühl-Pohl, seine Gattin Marlies und die zwei Söhne haben den Adelssitz vorbildlich restauriert. [DSCN9378-9380.TIF]20060408065MDR.JPG(c)Blobelt
