Description
Deutsch: 01.05.2006 01945 Lindenau (Oberlausitz): 1366 wird Lindenau erstmals erwähnt. Das Schloß (GMP: 51.399607,13.714391), ein Renaissancebau, wird ab 1584 für Lothar von Minckwitz errichtet. Der Turm erhielt 1783 eine barocke Haube mit offener Laterne, Uhr und Wetterfahne. Unter der Herrschaft der Familie von Gersdorff wird 1736 der barocke Schloßgarten angelegt. Um 1920 wird das Schloß umgebaut und erweitert. 1945 werden die letzten Besitzer, Viktoria Fürstin zu Lynar-Redern und ihr Sohn Ernst Wilhelm zu Lynar-Redern enteignet. Im Schloß wird ein Lehrerbildungsinstitut für Neulehrer eingerichtet. In der DDR-Zeit war im Schloß ab 1953 ein Kinderheim, das nach der Wende 1998 geschlossen wurde. Das Lindenauer Schloß gehört zu den schönsten Adelssitzen dieser Gegend. Das Schloßgelände ist von einem ausgedehnten Landschaftspark umgeben. Sicht von Südwesten.
