Loschwitz war einst ein slawisches Fischerdorf an der Elbe, das am 24. Juni 1315 erstmals als "Loscuicz" urkundlich erwähnt wird. In der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts beendete die eingeschleppte Reblaus vorläufig den Weinbau. Ab 1887 wurde das Winzerland schnell zu Bauland für Landhäuser und Villen. Es war schon immer eine begehrte Wohngegend für wohlhabende Bürger, Adlige und Künstler. Zentraler Platz ist der Körnerplatz. Am 1. April 1921 erfolgte die Eingemeindung nach Dresden. Diese Klinkerbauten auf der Nordseite des Körnerplatzes gestaltete der Blasewitzer Architekt Karl Emil Scherz. Als 1893 die Elbbrücke fertig war, schuf man am Brückenkopf ein neues Ortszentrum. Mit dem Körnerplatz erhielt Loschwitz, das sich vom stillen Dorf zum betriebsamen Vorort gewandelt hatte, einen städtischen Mittelpunkt. [DSCN12521.TIF]20061108015DR.JPG(c)Blobelt |
