Deutsch: 17.02.2008 01157 Dresden-Cotta, Lübecker Straße 121 (GMP: 51.056362,13.687966): Rathaus Cotta (1899-1901). Am 01.01.1903 kam Cotta zu Dresden. Ein Jahr später wurde der Kirchweg nach Briesnitz, der bereits seit dem 16. Jh. bestand, in Lübecker Straße umbenannt. Im November 1899 erfolgte hier der erste Spatenstich für das Cottaer Rathaus in der Nähe des Dorfkerns Altcotta. Die Einweihung war am 24.04.1901. Architek Felix Reinhold Voretzsch (1873-1951) und Oberbauinspektor Bernhard Seitz (1864-1947) orientierten sich an der Spätgotik, dem Jugendstil und der Neorenaissance. Der imposante Rathausturm ist 49,7 m hoch mit einer Wetterfahne in Form einer schwimmenden Nixe. Über dem Haupteingang prangt das Wappen von Cotta - blühende Schilfhalme, von Seerosen umrankt.
