Description
Deutsch: 13.04.2008 01824 Königstein (Sächsische Schweiz): Festung Königstein. Die Garnisionkirche (GMP: 50.919201,14.058476) ist ein geschichtsträchtiger Ort. Ihre Mauern gehen bis ins frühe 13. Jahrhundert zurück. Hier beteten die Mönche des Cölestinerklosters, das 1516 zum "Lob der Wunder Mariens" gegründet wurde, aber 1524 wieder einging. Später war es die Festungsbesatzung, die hier zum Gottesdienst zusammenkam. 1681 erhielt die Garnisonkirche ihren wuchtigen Sandsteinturm. In den Jahren der DDR wurde der Gottesdienstort als Kino und Lagerraum genutzt. Von 1994 bis 2000 umfassend renoviert, ist sie wieder öffentlich zugänglich. [DSCN32233.TIF]20080413200DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
