2008T562 Post-Medieval Silver whistle from Cawston, Norfolk
Description
English: Flask-shaped whistle, now squashed flat, formed from silver sheet. A suspension ring is engaged with a loop which projects from the underside. The broadest part is encircled by two bands of rather crude grooved and ribbed decoration. A maker's stamp, GU , on the underside of the mouthpiece is to be read with the mouthpiece uppermost.

Date: 17th - 18th century.
