Description
Deutsch: 12.07.2009 01219 Dresden-Strehlen, August-Bebel-Straße 12 GMP: 51.032077,13.751601(): Die Villa "Tusculum" wurde 1893 im Auftrag des Dresdner Malers Ernst Oskar Simonson-Castelli im spätklassizistischen Stil erbaut und bis 1945 bewohnt. Danach zunächst Malschule Hennig. In der DDR-Zeit HO-Gaststätte, Klub der Intelligenz, ab 1976 Offizierskasino der benachbarten Militärakademie Friedrich Engels. 1994 übernahm das Studentenwerk Dresden das TUSCULUM, um die Tradition der "Studentenhäuser" neu zu beleben.
