Deutsch: 09.10.2009 01326 Dresden-Pillnitz: Kammergut August-Böckstiegel-Straße 1 (GMP: 51.008402,13.873560). Sicht von Osten aus der Dampfschiffstraße zum Kammergut. Pillnitz ist wegen seiner Schloß- und Parkanlage eine Attraktion. Die Gartenresidenz an der Elbe ist aus einem Rittergut hervorgegangen, das im 14. Jahrhundert den Burggrafen von Dohna gehörte. Als Besitzer folgten Heinrich von Karras, Familie Ziegler und Christoph von Loß. 1694 erwarb Kurfürst Johann Georg IV. von Sachsen das Rittergut Pillnitz und 1694 ging es an August den Starken über. Ab 1718 wurde das Rittergut als Kammergut geführt. Die sächsischen Kurfürsten und Könige fühlten sich in dieser Umgebung wohl und nutzten das Schloß deshalb bis 1918 als Sommerresidenz. Die Bauten hinter dem Neuen Palais, am Rand der Gartenanlage, bildeten die wirtschaftliche Grundlage des Pillnitzer Hoflebens. Hier befand sich das Kammergut, das zu den ertragreichsten Landwirtschaftsbetrieben in Sachsen gehörte. Heute sind hier Schloßschänke und Schloßhotel eingerichtet, im barocken Stallgebäude und in den Erweiterungsbauten von 1890 ist das Sächsische Landesamt für Umwelt, Landwirtschaft und Geologie untergebracht.
