Description 200918-N-TC847-1513-BALTIC SEA (Sept. 18, 2020) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) conducts close proximity maneuvering exercises with Royal Canadian Navy HMCS Toronto (FFH 333), front, and Portuguese Naval frigate NRP Corte-Real (F332) Sept. 18, 2020. Toronto and Corte-Real are underway on a regularly-scheduled deployment as part of Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 to conduct maritime operations and provide a continuous maritime capability for NATO in the Baltic region. Ross is currently on its tenth Forward Deployed Naval Forces-Europe (FDNF-E) patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
