Description2009 Canadian Penny (49757545391).jpg |
This was created to help me experiment with different panning techniques and seeing how my stitching software responds to them. The reason I chose a penny is partly due to it's shape and topography and mostly due to the fact it was within my reach at the time. The results turned out surprisingly good so I figured I would post it. My Stitching software crashed while rendering the full quality PNG version unfortunately and it took a long time to stitch this. Since the picture is so big it would have needed to have been compressed a lot anyway I decided not to retry it. If people would like a full quality version I can try it again. This is a composite of 302 images taken by a pixel 2XL from a microscope at 40X. The images had ~65% overlap and were stitched together in Autopano Giga. |
