| Description |
Nitrate. The VE Commodore was built from August 2006-May 2013. The 1st of the 4th generation Commodores, on a new platform, the design completely Australian, not based on the European Opel like previous models. The engines were carried over from the previous VZ. Available in Sedan, Wagon and Utility. The Series II arrived in August 2010, a new look front fascia and an aerodynamic lip to the boot lid. Models available were; Omega, SV6, SS, Berlina and Calais Also Statesman and Caprice The SS got 6.0 V8, dual exhaust, body kit, sports interior, FE2 suspension. In 2012 the Z Series Special Edition Pack was released right across the range. The SS V got a bit more: Inside, it got metallic look pedals and instruments matched with the exterior colour and on the outside 19in wheels. HSV also built performance sedans for Holden, available were; Clubsport R8 in sedan or wagon, GTS, Senator and Grange. Also Maloo R8 ute. The Series II HSV cars got daytime running lights in the front fascia. Engines; 190kw 3.0 V6, 175kw or 195kw 3.6 V6s, 270kw 6.0 V8 (307kw HSV) 317kw 6.2 V8 from March 2008 325kw in GTS) |
