Deutsch: 30.03.2010 04720 Zschaitz (Zschaitz-Ottewig): Dorfkirche, Am Kirchberg 5 (GMP: 51.166731,13.161355). Wie in Mochau und Schrebitz geht das Gotteshaus auf eine Burg zurück, die im 10./11. Jahrhundert nach der deutschen Eroberung des Gaues Daleminze angelegt wurde. Der älteste Teil der Kirche ist der wuchtige Westturm. Er wurde zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts in Verbindung mit einem spätgotischen Kirchenschiff erbaut. Eine Inschrift am Strebepfeiler nennt die Jahreszahl 1515. 1749/52 wurde das damals errichtete Langhaus aufgrund von Bauschäden abgetragen und durch einen geräumigen Neubau ersetzt, den Mauermeister Johann Hoffmann aus Nossen und Zimmermeister Michael Kühne aus Zunschwitz erstellten. Im Vordergrund die Ruine eines stattlichen Gutshauses. Von einem Rittergut ist aber nichts bekannt. [DSCN40692.TIF]20103003325DR.JPG(c)Blobelt |
