Description
Deutsch: 06.04.2010 04749 Rittmitz (Ostrau), Lindenstraße: Ruine der Dorfkirche (GMP: 51.178420,13.108370). Ehemals romanische Dorfkirche, 1285 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Die Dorfkirche ist vermutlich als Herrschaftskirche des Ritterguts Rittmitz gegründet worden. Auf der leergeräumten Fläche neben der Kirche befand sich früher das Schloß. Die Kirche war ein schlichtes Bauwerk. Wann das Kirchlein erbaut wurde, lässt sich nicht mehr feststellen. Reparaturen am Mauerwerk der Kirche und an den Einbauten lassen sich für die Jahre 1674, 1677 und 1742/43 nachweisen. Zum letztgenannten Datum scheint sie weitgehend neu erbaut worden zu sein. Im Schlussstein des barocken Türgewändes steht "ANNO 1743". Rittergutsbesitzer war damals Heinrich von Lüttichau. 1819 erhielt die Kirche einen Kanzelaltar. Der Niedergang der Rittmitzer Kirche begann 1931 mit dem Wegfall der Pfarrstelle. Einen Einschnitt brachte die Bodenreform im Herbst 1945. So wurde das sanierungsbedürftige Kirchengebäude 1968 aufgegeben. Karfreitag 1981 begann die Kirchgemeinde mit dem Abbruch des Daches und weiterer Gebäudeteile. Innen, Blick nach Westen.
