Deutsch: 17.04.2010 09648 Beerwalde (Erlau): Der "Waal", Reste der Wasserburg (GMP: 51.042650,12.979970) Beerwalde. Im zweiten Viertel des 13. Jh. wurde in der Nähe der Kirche und des ritterlichen Wirtschaftshofes der "Waal" errichtet. Er stellt eine typische Wasserburg mit künstlich erhöhtem Innenraum (Waal - Erhöhung), umlaufendem
Wassergraben und Außenwall dar. Auf dem zentralen Teil der Anlage, dem Turmhügel, befand sich ein in Fachwerk auf steinernem Fundament erbauter Turm. Am Rande des Turmhügels und auf dem Außenwall dürften Palisaden gestanden haben. 1283 - 1303 sind die Ritter Hermann und Friedrich von Beerwalde in Urkunden als Zeugen überliefert. Die Burg wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jh. und am Anfang des 14. Jh. durch Feuer zerstört und nach dem zweiten Brand nicht wieder aufgebaut; die Herren von Beerwalde saßen inzwischen auf Burg Kriebstein. Die Wasserburg verfiel und 1890 wurde auf dem "Waal" das Erbbegräbnis der Familie von Arnim angelegt. [DSCN41378.TIF]20100417575DR.JPG(c)Blobelt |
