Description
Deutsch: 15.04.2011 04758 Oschatz: Aegidienkirche (GMP: 51.297626,13.107804). Das Gotteshaus geht auf einen gotischen Vorgängerbau zurück, der in der Mitte des 15. Jh. begonnen wurde. 1464 wurde der Grundstein für den spätgotischen Chor gelegt. 1842 ausgebrannt. Den Wiederaufbau der dreischiffigen Hallenkirche leitete Carl Alexander Heideloff von 1846 bis 1849. Heideloff entwarf neue Maßwerkfenster, Portale und Gewölbe und bekrönte die Türme mit schlanken Maßwerkhelmen. In der einheitlichen Gestaltung, die sich auf süddeutsche Vorbilder des 14. und 15. bezieht, ist die Aegidienkirche ein frühes Beispiel. Die Orgel wurde 1851 von Carl Eduard Jehmlich in Dresden gebaut und 1933 erweitert. [DSCNn2225.TIF]20110415765DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
