Description
Deutsch: 23.07.2011 09599 Freiberg Sa., Petriplatz: Petrikirche (GMP: 50.916556,13.340937): Errichtet wurde das Kirchengebäude etwa um 1200 mit der Freiberger Oberstadt als spätromanische Basilika und war anfangs Hauptkirche der Stadt. Die heutige dreischiffige spätgotische Hallenkirche entstand im Wesentlichen 1401-1440 mit Benutzung von spätromanischen und gotischen Bauteilen. Im Jahr 1734 erfolgte ein barocker Umbau des Gotteshauses, zugleich wurden im Inneren eine Kanzel aus Sandstein und ein Taufstein eingebaut, die in der Werkstatt von Christian Feige d. Ä. entstanden waren.
