Summary[edit]

Description
English: Ugandan troops prepare to move out to forward positions in an advance aimed to oust Al Shabab from several towns in Somalia on 13 February. Ugandan troops, as part of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), advanced with troops from the Somali National Army (SNA) on three towns in the Lower Shabelle region of Somalia in an operation codenamed "Boot on the Ground" on 14 February. All three towns, Janaale, Aw Dheegle, and Barrire, fell to the allied forces with little resistance from the terrorist group Al Shabab. AU UN IST PHOTO / TOBIN JONES
