Klooster Opveld in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: View from the north of the chapel of Klooster Opveld in Maastricht, Netherlands. Klooster Opveld was from 1902 until 2018 a monastery of the Soeurs de la Charité de la Providence, who fled from France during a period of anti-clericalism. This photograph shows the entrance of the brick chapel designed in 1910 by the young architect Theo van Kan, who died shortly afterwards. The terracotta reliefs of female saints or angels were also designed by Van Kan.
