Description
Deutsch: Die Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD) wurde in der Stadt Göttingen im Jahr 1873 gegründet, s. Klaus Wettig: 1873–2015. 142 Jahre Sozialdemokratie in Göttingen. Daten zur Geschichte der Göttinger SPD. Im Jahr 2023 gedachte der SPD-Stadtverband Göttingen seines 150 jährigen Bestehens mit einer Feier im Deutschen Theater. In der Moderation der beiden Vorsitzenden, Insa Wiethaup und Cornelius Schley sprach Ministerpräsident Stephan Weil, Landesvorsitzender des SPD-Landesverbandes Niedersachsen als Hauptredner. Bundestagsabgeordneter Matthias Miersch, Vorsitzender des SPD-Bezirks Hannover, und das Mitglied des Niedersächsischen Landtages Gerd Hujahn sprachen Grußworte, letzterer für den SPD-Unterbezirk Göttingen. Das Göttinger Ensemble KlezPO umrahmte die Veranstaltung mit seiner Musik.
