Description

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and USDA FPAC Under Secretary Robert Bonnie launched the first two projects of the historic Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities effort with a signing at Commodity Classic on March 10, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. This kickstarted a $3.1 billion investment in 141 tentatively selected projects.

The Farmers for Soil Health Climate-Smart Commodities Partnership project is led by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Other major partners include Farmers for Soil Health (National Corn Growers Association, the United Soybean Board, and the National Pork Board), National Center for Appropriate Technology, National Association of Conservation Districts, Soil Health Institute, University of Missouri, The Sustainability Consortium, Data Transmission Network, and MBSH Consulting.
