Deutsch: 04.04.2023 01189 Dresden-Gittersee, Hermann-Michel-Straße 5: Bahnhof Gittersee (GMP: 51.005762,13.690476) der stillgelegten Windbergbahn. Die Steilstrecke der auch als "Sächsische Semmeringbahn (R)" bekannten ersten deutschen Gebirgsbahn von der Talstation Freital-Birkigt nach Dresden-Gittersee ist eine große technische Meisterleistung des Eisenbahn- und Vermessungs-wesens ihrer Zeit. Die Strecke wurde in den Jahren 1855/56 nach den Plänen von Oberingeneuer Guido Brescius als Kohlenbahn projektiert und gebaut. Der Bahnhof Gittersee wurde im Jahre 1907 von den Königlich Sächsischen Staatseisenbahnen (K.Sächs.Sts.E.B.) [auch: K.S.S.E.B.] für den allgemeinen Güter- und Personenverkehr ausgebaut. Im Jahr 1957 wurde der öffentliche Personen-verkehr und 1993 der Güterverkehr eingestellt. Die heute hier aufgegleisten funktionsfähigen Schienenfahrzeuge wurden per Tieflader angeliefert, da die Trasse in Birkigt von der Fernbahnstrecke getrennt worden ist.
