Description
Deutsch: 21.04.2023 01097 Dresden-Innere Neustadt: Der Zirkusbrunnen (GMP: 51.058090,13.745377) vor dem Plattenbau Sarrasanistraße 9 wurde am am 05.05.2007 eingeweiht. Geschaffen hat ihn der Hosterwitzer Bildhauer Vinzenz Wanitschke. Er wird von fünf Bronzeelefanten und einem Clown geschmückt, der eine Schale in Blütenform auf dem Kopf balanciert. Die Wohnungsgenossenschaft Johannstadt spendierte den Zirkusbrunnen. Er erinnert an den Zirkus Sarrasani, der sich seit 1912 in diesem Gebiet am Carolaplatz befand.
