| Description |
In snowy conditions a 3-car DMU set operated by Trenord is seen at the branch line terminus of Edolo on 21 February 2015. Closest to the camera is ALn668.141 with trailer in the middle and ALn668.144 at the rear. Train R81, 17:54 Edolo to Brescia. Apart from a 2-year stint, this 105km line has always been in private hands being operated for many years by Società Nazionale Ferrovie e Tramvie. Since the reorganisation of railways in the Lombardia region, this now part of Trenord. At the time of this visit, the ALn units seen here were nearly all replaced by newer diesel units - ATR 220 sets built by Pesa in Poland and ATR115 sets built by Stadler in Switzerland. |
