Description26101 Belgian class 26 kriegslok2.jpg |
English: After the Second World War, Belgian railways obtained 100 Type 26 locomotives of 2-10-0 type for freight duty, of a popular German war design (en:Kriegslokomotive).Sadly, none of these machines survived into preservation. However, the railway conservation organisation TSP-PFT acquired a similar loco in Poland, restored it to Belgian standards, and now uses it for special trains as 26.101. Pictured here in Mechelen, June 2000. Former Polish industrial Ty2-3554 (not PKP), built: Krauss-Maffei 16691/1943 Deutsch: Nach dem 2. |
