Description
English: An incomplete silver Continental Sterling imitation coin dating from the late 13th – 14th century, and showing a crowned bust. These coins were struck on the continent by many different rulers, to imitate English pennies. It is probably Mayhew number 265 (Withers forthcoming). It has a diameter of 19.41mm, a thickness of 0.62mm and a weight of 0.79g.
