Description
English: This irregularly-shaped rock is an inscribed (in Hebrew) tombstone of a deceased Jewish woman. Her name was "Siporah daughter of Dan" who will rest in peace and be blessed in the Paradise of Eden. Commissioned by her son. The date on the tombstone is the Seleucian year 1669 (and that would be roughly 1356/1357 CE). From Gopala village, Bazian (Baziyan), Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Iraq. Sulaymaniyah Museum, Iraqi Kurdistan.
