Title
English: 3. Roof Moss Prevention.
Description
English:

A member of the preservation crew is bent over on top of the roof. He is holding a black and white sign that reads "Gettysburg NMP Warfield House Placing Cedar Shakes on East Side PEPC 85531 8-5-20 Smith." The sky is blue and cloudy in the background with green trees framing the image.

Preservation crews installing cedar shingles on the roof add a strip of zinc between several courses of shingles. The zinc strip creates a chemical barrier when it rains that helps to prevent moss from growing on the roof.
