Title
31: medieval ceramic vessel rim shard
Description
English: A rim sherd from a medieval ceramic vessel. The sherd is 45.3mm long, 32mm wide and the wall is 5.3mm thick. It weighs 24.9g. The fabric is dark orange throughout. The fabric has frequent poorly sorted light coloured grains (quartz?) and some dark and red grains (grog or rock?). It is hard and fine. This pottery is probably in the Northern Gritty Ware tradition. The rim radius is about 105mm.
