Description
  • Italiano: La neoclassica Porta Ticinese a Milano, progettata da Luigi Cagnola e costruita fra il 1801 e il 1814. L'iscrizione latina la dedica "Alla Pace sospirata dai popoli", dopo le guerre napoleoniche. Un tempo la porta stava a cavallo del fossato, davanti alle mura spagnole, per costringere al pagamento del dazio chi entrava in città. Alle spalle della costruzione si intravedono infatti i caselli del dazio. Foto di Giovanni Dall'Orto, 18 aprile 2009.
