| Description | 55 (left) through 75 (right) Joralemon Street between Hicks and Furman Streets in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City are a part of a group of 25 houses (from 29 to 75) which were built between 1844 and 1848 in the Greek Revival style, although some of the houses have been altered. They are located where Joralemon Street goes down the hill from Brooklyn Heights, before it passes under the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. Each house steps down approximately 30 inches from its neighbor to the east. (Source: AIA Guide to NYC (5th ed.)) |
