Title |
592 Post Medieval buckle.jpg |
||
Description |
English: Asymmetrical double looped buckle. Central narrowed strap bar that would have held the pin, on one side there is a trapezoid loop, 10mm by 15mm. On the other side is a plain D-shaped loop, the frame has a trapezoid cross-section. The artefact is in a poor condition with the whole of the original surface corroded away leaving a light brown layer with powdery green patches. There are traces of gold where the buckle was gilt. |
