64ECF9 -STIRRUP
Description
English: A complete cast iron/copper alloy, post medieval stirrup of uncertain date. The stirrup has a triangular shape with roughly circular mount intact at centre top. The sides are slightly incurvate for about 16mm to a thickened solid foot plate on the lower part of the stirrup. It is heavily rusted and pitted. The footplate measures 83mm tall, 112.33mm wide and 7.05mm thick. Overall height of the stirrup to the top of its mount is 113.21mm. Overall weight is 56 grammes.
