Description
English: Sheet copper alloy dress hook, length 21mm, width 10.5mm, thickness 1mm. Triangular tag, from the attachment end it narrows to a hook at the bottom. Three V-shaped notches cut into the attachment end, there are two attachment holes at the top. The main plate of the tag is plain, double recessed collar separating the hook from the main plate. The hook is curved back wards 190 degrees. This artefact dates to 800-1000. The artefact is in excellent condition retaining all of its original patina, resulting is a rich green colour, striations on the face are evidence of the original tooling.
