6EF117 Medieval lead pilgrims ampulla
Description
English: Medieval lead alloy pilgrims ampulla, 52mm long, 37mm wide and 5mm thick. The ampulla is in good condition with a grey patina and weighs 46.29 grams. The ampulla is formed of a rounded base shaped to resemble a scallop shell, with deep radiating ridges on one side. The other side is plain and is decorated with a six petalled flower motif in a raised circle. Above this is a long rectangular neck which has a damaged upper edge.
