Summary
[edit]Description701-715 Walnut Street.jpg |
701 (right) - 715 (left) Walnut Street between S. 7th and S. 8th Streets in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Philadelphia are row houses built in 1799 for William Sansom by Benjamin Latrobe. The house at 701 (far right) was rebuilt as a brownstone loft in 1855. A similiar row of houses on the south side of the 700 block of Sansom Street was designed by Thomas Carstairs (Source: Architecture in Philadelphia: A Guide) Note that only a small corner of 701 - aka the Bible Building - is visible at the far top right. |
